The Retreat

Quiet, sweet little space a perfect base for our weekend retreat.

Very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The supplies on arrival were a nice touch

Bedroom ceiling was a little low, just needed to watch your head!

excellent little private retreat in lovely Sussex countryside. hosts were lovely. spacious ground floor, it's not a studio so bedroom upstairs in roof. we had our dog with us so didn't want a studio as she won't settle at night! walks in the lane met local people who were all very considerate towards our reactive dog. hot tub was a real bonus, very welcome to return to at the end of the day. oh and 10min walk to the Coach and Horses pub but note they aren't open Mondays or Tuesdays.

limited headspace in the loft bedroom but you get used to it. bedding could do with replacing now tbh. it's tricky having a reactive rescue dog. she was attacked when younger so v fearful of other dogs. this made avoiding the owners dog difficult. they have a gorgeous friendly German shepherd type who we were very happy to meet but our dog was very upset which is a shame. the garden is fully fenced which is great and if you do don't have a reactive dog it would be perfect.

Private, hot tub to use hosts were great..

Was a perfect get away. The hosts were incredibly friendly and very welcoming. We had the best time and would definitely book again!
