The cottage is very new, spotless, and fully equipped with modern amenities, making it a very comfortable stay. Having a parking bay right in front of the unit was also very convenient. There were a few small hiccups during our stay, which I mention only as constructive feedback and not to take away from the overall positive experience. Firstly, when we booked the room, the reservation team attempted to process the payment, but it did not go through because we had payment restrictions on our card. When they contacted me through the Booking.com app, I responded to let them know I would enable the card for payment. However, before any further communication, the booking was cancelled after another unsuccessful attempt. I understand this was partly my fault as well, but perhaps a little more communication before cancellation would help future guests. Secondly, when we were checking out, the code provided for the digital key lock box did not work. The checkout instructions also mentioned leaving rubbish in the complex rubbish area, but there were no clear directions on where it was located or any access code provided. Because of these issues, we had to call for assistance and lost a bit of time. I also noticed there was no compendium in the unit, which would have been very helpful for information like checkout instructions and other details around the property. That said, these were only minor inconveniences, and overall we had a great stay 😊

Had everything it needed

Property managers unhelpful and poor communication on payment terms including when payment would be taken and cancellation policy. Not particularly clean - floors were dusty and had rubbish. Uncomfortable beds.

Beautiful view. Right across the cafe for morning coffee fix, the supermarket for groceries and the pub. Clean space and cozy.

There were no tea towels or dish drying rack if we handwashed dishes. I also didn't like the fact that I had to complete an external form which asked for my card details again outside of Booking.com.

Loved the decor, and location near patisserie and supermarket.

The check in process required too much information including a selfie (esp given they had had a data breach recently) and a further $250 security deposit- seemed way over the top when none of the other places we’ve stayed in NZ have required any of this.

Very convenient location, has cafe and tavern 2 minutes walk from the property. Very clean. 10 minutes drive from Wānaka. Family friendly.

Good access to Wanaka ski fields. Conveniently located next to a pub, small grocery and bottle shop. Very clean, comfortable and quiet.

Kitchen was reasonably well stocked, though some sharper knives, better peeler, more cutlery, chopping boards and some baking trays would have been useful. Freezer was not working whilst we were there.
