Everything was great!

Great location, less than 5 mins walk to great cafes for breakfast, lunch or a beer (Fleur covered these bases) & convenience supermarkets, under 10 mins walk to city centre & less than 15 minutes walk to the best bars near the river (our favourite was WILD) and restaurants (our favourite was Doli) but far enough away to escape the noise of the traffic. We understand from the incredibly friendly & helpful current owner that what is now a quirky, baroque-style hotel was previously the house of an oligarch who fell on hard times. Our room was large, with comfortable, queen-sized bed, large sofas, big bathroom complete with jacuzzi & a generous balcony (approx 2m x 2.5m) that gave great views over Kutaisi and to the mountains beyond. No problem with parking, either on-street or in the hotel driveway.

The decor may not suit all tastes but spacious accommodation at a keen price-point represents tremendous value for money.
