Hotel Royal

De locatie was top. De kamers waren ruim. Een bijzondere, kitscherige inrichting die je niet snel tegenkomt.

Het is geen hotel, wat de naam doet vermoeden. Het is een guesthouse. De familie woont beneden en je krijgt hun manier van leven dus ook mee. Kinderen rennen/schreeuwen gewoon tot 24.00/00.30 rond. Etensluchten op de gang. Rooklucht op je kamer?! Daarnaast wordt je kamer niet elke dag automatisch verschoont (handdoeken, afval) als je meerdere dagen verblijft. Geheel doet wat smoezelig aan. Als je hier geen problemen mee heb, prima. Het is net wat je verwacht. Iets om rekening mee te houden dus. De prijs is er ook naar.

This hotel is a real gem. We came back to Kutaisi for a second night and were very lucky to be able to stay at this hotel again. The room is huge and features a nice balcony. It is super close to the center and the staff is nice. The bed is also very comfortable.

Room was fantastic, bed was like sleeping on a cloud very beautiful place and very short walk to center. I will definitely look to stay here on my next visit.

The hotel was a former rich people house, and the room facilities show that. The room was very big, with a very comfortable bathroom and a balcony. Facilities including a fridge, a powerful air conditioning that was able to handle two specially hot days and a reliable wifi.

When I arrived the only thing a saw was a gate. I entered, wishing there was no dog ready to attack, and only saw the word "Royal" somewhere on the wall. It took me a while to get someone to notice me. After that, the owner was very attentive and gave me some tips for getting to know Kutaisi. The hotel still needs some improvements but once I was in the room it was great. I had to park my car on the street although the reservation advertised that "free private parking is possible on site (reservation is not needed)".

Amazing, big, bright room!

An extraordinaly spacious room, a friendly helpful host and a large comfortable double bed (finally even the comfortable pillows, which are often too stuffed and hard in Georgia) and balcony. The bathroom with toilet also incredibly huge. Strong air conditioning was helpful (the temperature 35 degrees Celsius in July outside in the city area). The hotel is located cca 10 min from Colchis fountain and you can leave the car in front of in the street.

At the first sight the unexpected baroque-like luxury, at the second one it seems rather vintage - you recognize that there are places not clean enough, but for a couple days OK.
