"Very relaxing, friendly place to stay in a stunning location."

Stunning location, very welcoming host. Evening meal and breakfast were very good and the garden is beautiful. Bonus of a game of croquet before we left.

Only the road access but this is a public road - nothing the owner can do anything about - rather a lot of potholes.

"We experienced great hospitality in a house full of character in a beautiful location"

Lovely character property in the most fantastic location. Our room was a good size with a lovely big bathroom and wonderful views. Emma, the host was present and we were made to feel incredibly welcome. We were visiting for the Hay Festival and so the packed lunch option was much appreciated. Breakfast was full of high quality ingredients and cooked to meet the needs of each visitor. We particularly enjoyed sitting around one big table and chatting with the other guests. It was a very relaxing place.

Sehr schönes altes Haus, sehr ruhige Lage in toller Landschaft, sehr gepflegter Garten

Die Zuwegung zum Haus ist nur auf kleinsten Straßen zu erreichen, das Haus war nicht geheizt, klamm und eisekalt, obwohl das Wetter seit Tagen schlecht war. Wir sind sofort ins Bett gegangen und ein Zusammensitzen war in den kalten Räumen nicht mehr möglich. Eine Heizdecke gab es für uns nicht, nur eine Wärmflasche. Es gab ein kontinentales, aber spärliches Frühstück, wo jeder Toast und jedes Stück Butter einzelnd nachgefragt werden musste. Wir können die allgemeine Booking-Bewertung von 9,4 nicht nachvollziehen.

"An absolute gem and a credit to the host - highly recommended!"

Tranquil, serene, peaceful! Stunning views from a very large bedroom with bathroom with shower and bath. The warm welcome from the host on arrival made me feel at home especially when relaxing looking out over the beautiful glorious Welsh countryside. A delicious supper was offered and appreciated. The lane access added to the seclusion and quiet location. The gardens are spectacular and a credit to the gardener. I wished I was staying longer!

An incredible property in a beautiful location. Perfect for our Offa’s dyke walk, being sat right on the path. The communication and service was 5* and the quality of the food was also 5*. A very special place. Will plan to stay here again. Thank you
