Fjord peace

Great Norwegian hytte in a quiet location. Bath tub outside and birds in the trees. Short path to the fjord where we went fishing. Airfryer to warm breadrolls for breakfast. Fence round the property was great for Bisken (the dog)

Difficult to find something to complain about

Voor 't eerst stonden voor een dichte deur. Geen telefooncontact mogelijk, ook geen antwoord op vragen via bericht aan de host. Ik wilde eerst nog wachten met het schrijven van een super slechte recensie, misschien had de eigenaar een keigoede rede waarom hij ons vergeten was. Nieuwsgierig las ik vorige recencies en dacht WTF.. is hier aan de hand. Gelukkig heeft Booking.com ons een prima alternatief geboden, en daar waren we achteraf wel heel erg blij om. Want alles beter dan in dat huis verblijven. We waren eigenlijk wel blij dat we er niet in konden. Ik denk dat booking.com deze accommodatie maar moet schrappen uit hun aanbod. Ik had dit huisje 1,5 jaar geleden geboekt, en toen waren de recencies nog lovend....ik ben hier erg van geschrokken. We boeken heel vaak bij Booking, en zijn altijd zeer tevreden over hun accommodaties, en de hulp die je krijgt wanneer je ze nodig hebt.

This was by far the worst accommodation experience I have ever had. I booked and paid for 4 nights, but I was never able to check in because I did not receive any instructions. The host was completely unresponsive – no answer to phone calls, emails, or WhatsApp messages. We arrived late in the evening and, after hours of trying to reach the property, we had no alternative but to spend the night in our car. This situation was unacceptable, unsafe, and extremely stressful. I strongly warn future travelers to avoid this property.

What we liked was the stunning location, beautiful view of the fjord (not in close proximity, though), the comfort of the fine Norwegian hytte, the washing machine, the sounds of nature in the morning and throughout the day, cleanliness, the owner and his assistant who were always ready to help when we had requests

Water issues were a bit irritating, but Nigel, the owner, was really helpful any time things went south, the double bed was not comfortable at all, apart from that - maybe the lawn could have been mowed, then the beauty of the house would really stand out

Nem véletlenül "Fjord Peace" a neve. Egy fjord mellett, béke, csend és nyugalom. Párom szerint mindenkinek ezt kéne felírni receptre. A napi kalandozások után öröm volt visszatérni ide. Ízlésesen, izgalmasan berendezett ház, mindennel felszerelve.

A fő hálóban az ágy (nekem) nagyon puha. De a vadász házikó ágya megoldotta a gondot.

It is a quietly located accomodation, a bit away from everything. The house had everything you need, including a nice view on fjord and the hills at the other side. Nigel is a sympathatic and friendly host; the hottub is great.

There is nothing negative to say about this accomodation.
