Definitely beautiful house, spread over 3 levels (kitchen level -1, entrance and living rooms level 0, bed rooms level 1) plus panoramic terrace. Rooms: one is very spacious with balcony, the other is small and less confortable, both with en-suite bathroom providing good privacy if travelling in a group. Air conditioning and wifi. Host super welcoming and helpful, waited for us despite the flight delay and the late check-in. Perfect location for visiting Sidi Bou Said and la Marsa walking, by car in 20/30 minutes you can also easily reach the centre of Tunis.

Unfortunately the level of cleanliness was not the best. There was rubbish from previous guests in the kitchen, very dusty and unclean rooms, we found hair in one bed and a few insects (ants, small cockroaches). I would recommend a couple more towels in the two bed rooms bathrooms, and a supply of toilet paper (but there is still a supermarket close enough to buy what is missing). However the bedrooms were ok and the time we spent in the house was short, so we did not feel it necessary to disturb the owner who was very kind and helpful with us when we arrived.

A beautiful Dar in the centre of Sidi Bou Said located on a quiet but accessible side street just metres from the action. The property was beautiful and would be great value for money for up to 4 people. I stayed myself but was still worth it! I was blown away by the traditional architecture and style of the property. Unfortunately I could only stay 2 nights, I’d loved to have stayed longer. The host was very hospitable and helped me arranging payment as you cannot yet pay by credit card. I didn’t have a car, but they offered me free parking pass at the car park nearby.

There was a problem with the Wi-Fi on my last night / morning. However I had data through my ESIM so this was not a problem, when it did work it was very fast. When I mentioned this at checkout, the host called the telecoms company and had them coming out to fix the problem! Very efficient!

The apartment is in a great location, minutes from coffee shops, food stores, and shops. I would highly recommend the location to anyone who is staying in Sidi Bou Said and wants to experience the area.
