Hostel Bela

The host was very friendly and helpful. The hostel was perfect for its price. We will visit on December. The room was quite hot although outside was too cold. Also, the breakfast was good.

Nicely located and helpful owner, the hostel is close to the bus station and a 15 minute walk from the main sights of Ohrid. The room was clean and sufficient, the owner was responsive and the included breakfast was more than enough. Overall an enjoyable stay.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience here. There was a party with loud music directly beneath my room that last until 1:30 AM, making it impossible for me to get any sleep. I was frustrated because the owners said that this party had been scheduled over a month in advance, but there was no information about it at all until I complained. I know it's just a special case but it shows a lack of communication. Also, they did not make any effort to address this. Many other complaints can be made, such as a broken heater and an unclean bathroom, but even these can be trivial compared to the issue above.

I stayed at Hostel Bela in Ohrid, and while it's conveniently close to the bus station, it's a bit far from the city center, requiring a 15 to 20-minute walk. My main concern was the eerie emptiness of the hostel - not a single person, not even at the reception. It felt like something out of a horror movie, and I ended up staying awake all night due to fear. Even though I knew it was a secure area with low crime, I really wished there was someone at the reception for peace of mind.

An exceptionally hospitable, helpful and cheerful host, a really 'made' and 'served' hot and generous breakfast, quiet location, close to bus station, nice room,and other facilities, nice guests, well organised check ins and check outs, and really a great value for money.

The neighbourhood is away from city centre, and kind of secluded and not so interesting. A bit of extra walking is required to go anywhere. Despite this , it is one the greatest places to stay for its outstanding positive featuresfeatures.

It was an incredible stay, Mr. Dusko was extremely welcoming and helpful, giving the best suggestions on what to visit in the city as well as preparing an excellent breakfast. I recommend going and staying more than one night.

Although we have to walk a little further to get to the city center, the location allows us to see more of the day-to-day life in Orhid rather than just the tourist part.
