Apokoronas Views Villa

This was a good location for exploring western Crete. We liked the village of Neo Chorio and the local restaurants. Quiet spot. Private. The road narrows as you get close to the Villa, but its not difficult to navigate. There are only a few houses on the lane. And it’s just a 10 minute drive to the sea in Kalyves with many beach options.

What a great villa! It’s nestled in a Cretan village. You feel you are living as a local while enjoying the amenities of a luxury villa. The location on the hill offers views of the surrounding countryside and the sea. The villa is very well equipped with everything you need during your stay. Generous welcome basket! The host welcomed us in person and guided us so we could find the location easily. Cretan villages have narrow roads, but don’t let that discourage you from this location! It’s easy enough to navigate. (We had a midsize car.) The beds are very comfortable and all rooms are spacious. It’s an amazing find!!

Très difficile de rentrer avec notre voiture 9 places, la roue frottait sur le sol il fallait s’y prendre plusieurs fois car le pneu dérapait et n’adherait pas au sol.

Apokoronas views villa is een smaakvol ingericht ruim huis met fijne bedden, goed sanitair en een goed uitgeruste keuken. We werden bij aankomst verrast met lekkere drankjes en hapjes die voor ons waren klaargelegd. Wat een verwennerij. Het zwembad is net groot genoeg om daarin baantjes te trekken en het terras staat vol met tafels ( lig) stoelen en parasols. De keuze is reuze! Ook heel fijn is de goed functionerende airco in alle ruimtes en de luiken die je ook nog tot je beschikking hebt. De man die het zwembad kwam schoonmaken was erg aardig en wist ons vele nuttige tips te geven. Op een goeie 10 minuten rijden ligt Kalyves. Een heerlijk plaatsje met lekkere restaurantjes, een goede bakker, een supermarkt ( SYN.KA) en fijne rustige strandjes . Ook Chania is vanuit hier goed te doen.

Een reden om niet meer terug te gaan is vanwege de weg naar het huis toe, vooral het laatste stukje dat je de inrit op en af moet is best een gedoetje. Ik denk dat daarom de beheerster ons op kwam halen vanaf een parkeerterreintje om ons voor de eerste keer voor te gaan naar het huis om te laten zien hoe je de inrit moet benaderen. Het huis zelf is niet moeilijk te vinden, het staat met bordjes keurig aangegeven op de heuvel. Verder staat er in de beschrijving dat er restaurantjes op loopafstand zijn. Ben er van bewust dat dat heen dalen en terug klimmen is en dat de beloning niet je van het is. De hondjes van de buren lieten overdag graag van zich horen maar niet 's avonds laat en 's nachts dus dat was fijn.

Villa oli varsin uusi ja tilava sekä hinta/laatusuhteeltaan erinomainen. Kolme eri kylpyhuonetta meille viidelle aikuiselle ja kolmelle lapselle oli hyvä määrä. Makuuhuoneet olivat tilavia, vuoteet isoja, tyynyt hyviä. Kaikkialla oli myös erittäin siistiä. Keittiö oli hyvin varusteltu, ruokailuvälineitä oli riittävästi ja leikkuuveitset tylsiä mutta se lienet tavallista menipä mihinkä päin tahansa maailmassa.😂 Ulkona oleva uima-allas oli lapsille mieluisa vaikka altaassa ei ollut varsinaista matalaa päätä. Ulkokalusteita oli myös riittävästi ja ne olivat hyväkuntoisia. Oma pysäköinti talon pihassa oli myös erinomainen. Olimme matkalla 9-hengen pikku bussilla ( VW Transporter) ja se on ehdottomasti suurin moottorikäyttöinen ajoneuvo millä talolle yleensä pääsee. Suurehkon henkilöautonkin kanssa saa olla tarkkana, sen verran kapeaksi tie muuttuu lähestyttäessä taloa. Meidät opastettiin ja vastaanotettiin mitä ystävällisemmin tavoin. Uskallan suositella tätä vaihtoehtoa kaikille lapsiperheille. Ympäristössä majailevat kissatkin olivat hauskoja vaikkakin arkoja.😁

Nämä etelä-euroopan vesivehkeet ovat aina yhtä ihmeelliset. Lämmintä vettä kyllä riitti mutta se vedenpaine, se vaihteli tosi voimakkaasti. Välillä vettä tuli ihan kohtuudella ja välillä se hiipui ihan lirinäksi. Kyllä niiden kanssa toimeen tulee mutta aina se jaksaa huvittaa ja ihmetyttää. Lopuksi vielä voisi todeta, että ilman autoa tunnet olevasi hieman syrjässä mutta auton kera paikka on erinomainen, turvallinen ja rauhaisa.

We were a group of nine, and the property was spacious enough to accommodate us all comfortably. It had everything we could possibly need, with beautiful views and a great location—just a 10-minute drive to the beach and within easy reach of the local water park and the city of Chania. There are also a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance. The villa is well-equipped to keep children entertained, including pool toys to suit every age! Sara was incredibly welcoming and attentive to our needs.

The access to the driveway is a little tricky at first, but you do get used to it quickly. As we had small children and a non-swimmer in our group, it would have been ideal if the pool had a ‘shallow’ end. That said, the swimmers in our group really enjoyed it, and the villa thoughtfully provided swimming aids for all age groups. We were aware of this before booking, and it certainly wouldn’t stop us from returning.

La posizione, per arrivare alla villa la stradina è scomoda.

Proprietatea este foarte bine organizata, curata cu locuri de parcare în interiorul curții, gazdele foarte amabile!

Accesul la proprietate se face destul de dificil pe niște străduțe înguste și cu pante destul de inclinate.
