"Disappointing"

It was clean.

First of all, after booking and paying for everything, we instant receive message:" you may pay extra 20€ if we check in after 8pm. That should be written before you make reservations not after. (Lucky for us we didn't pay, but it was very disturbing to receive message after you pay for everything. Second, we waited 30 minutes at least, (despite we added arriving time) outside at cold weather (around 3° outside) for owner to show up, but he send his mother (lovely lady) because he "didn't see" on time our reservation. Third, we entered at cold apartment, and lovely lady turn heating system on, but it was too late (they should done that before we arrived). Last, we paid with breakfast included (for 3 adult) but you can see in pictures what we got. My toddler can eat everything.

"DO NOT STAY IN THIS FLAT"

The hosts were very welcoming, came to pick me up at the train station, since there’s no cabs in Vercelli on weekends. The house had been filled with perfumes and there was water in the fridge.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS FLAT. I wasn’t able to stay a single night. The area is VERY sketchy - not for walking outside at night. The mattress and pillows reeked of cigarettes, the extra bedding in the closet smelled unclean. What I thought was a nice gesture of a perfumed house seemed to make more sense when this odor started to seep in. Under the bed and couch were incredibly dirty. The tap water had a metallic taste and under the shower even tinged my eyes. The washing machine “did not work” although had been advertised. Then the host demonstrated to have a superficial sense of hospitality when he called these concerns “absurd” and would not give a refund. Definitely not professional to make something personal in that way with a client and guest. Thankfully Booking recognized my claims and provided a refund.
