Palacio Balangan Villa

Everything was fine. The manager called us in advance to ask when we would arrive. The staff was pleasant. The pool was nice. There were hardly any flies in the room, which is sometimes common in Bali.

The bathroom door was made of transparent glass. But I heard that the rooms are new, so they want to fix it with some kind of covering. The bathroom lacks a ventilation opening or a window. These are minor issues, otherwise, everything was fine.

Very quiet and clean room with good bed.

JA!! Ik heb hier 27 nachten geslapen. Kamer is mega schoon, en wordt elke dag schoongemaakt! De locatie is echt perfect, op een rustige plek maar binnen 7 min ben je in de gezelligheid. Alles super goed onderhouden. Wasserette om de hoek, kleine supermarkt om de hoek en een heerlijke message in de straat.

Niks, was gewoon top.

Not recommended — the owner was aggressive and tried to scam me during checkout. I would not stay here again because of how I was treated at the end of my stay. After I paid the bill, the owner appeared out of nowhere, started yelling at me, saying I would have bad karma, literally cursed me, and demanded extra money, even though I had already paid the full bill shown by reception. I had to leave the property and order a car from the side of the road, feeling unsafe and shocked. Here’s a quick breakdown of my experience: Pros: • Nice bali-style furniture and a clean pool area • They tried to create a modern look • At first glance, good value for money Cons: • mold on the walls, weird plastic ceiling, and a shelf that fell off the wall during use • No real hot or cold water — just one fixed lukewarm temperature • Very hard to get transport if you don’t have your own bike — taxi apps often don’t work in this area • They overcharged me for water at checkout (charged $20 instead of $2) • And finally, the disturbing experience with the owner yelling and making threats It’s a strange place — some nice touches, but I left deeply uncomfortable overall. Stay elsewhere if you want peace of mind.

It looked exactly like it did on the website. Everything was clean, extremely spacious rooms, the pool area was stunning and the whole aesthetic of the place was incredible. The staff were so helpful and polite, there is also a really nice restaurant at the front of the property which was convenient for breakfast etc.

It’s not very easy to find on grab/get picked up from as it isn’t actually marked on their map, but this isn’t the properties fault obviously.
