"Unique and memorable experience."

9.0

A wonderful host, excellent home-cooked food, and engaging conversation over tea and wine. We felt truly welcome and appreciated the warm and personal atmosphere. A memorable experience.

Getting there from Chiatura isn’t exactly easy, as the road is currently under construction.

"True hospitality"

10.0

True Taste of Local Hospitality Our stay at Gezruli tea guesthouse was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of the host. From the very beginning, he made us feel genuinely welcome and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable visit. Although we didn’t visit his tea plantation, he took the time to explain the entire tea-making process in detail, sharing his knowledge and passion in a way that was both engaging and memorable. He also introduced us to his homemade organic wine, giving us insight into how it’s made, and we had the pleasure of enjoying a degustation during a delicious homemade dinner served outdoors in his peaceful garden. It was a truly special and authentic experience. While the location of the guesthouse may be a bit remote, it’s absolutely worth the effort. The serene surroundings, combined with the warmth and generosity of the host, created a stay that felt personal and deeply meaningful. If you’re looking for a place that offers more than just accommodation—where you can connect with the local culture and feel genuinely cared for—this guesthouse is a perfect choice. Highly recommended.

While the location is a bit remote but worth the trip for sure

This was by far the most relaxing accommodation we’ve ever stayed at. Toto was an amazing host – he welcomed us warmly and provided us with many helpful tips for our trip through Georgia. On site, we had the chance to try his own homemade wine and tea, which were both fantastic. The peaceful atmosphere of Gezruli was truly special, and the guesthouse is easily accessible by car. It’s located right in the middle of beautiful, serene nature – a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommended!

"Superb"

9.0

Friendly family new and clean rooms. The tea tasting was great and hear more insights in the establishment. Also the the advise on google maps was very helpful.

Compared to other dinners in guesthouses the provided dinner was rather small. Also be aware the bathrooms are outside so the accommodation is not suitable for colder days. For the tea tour I would have wished to also see the tea production sides to get more insights then only tasting.

"Incredible Georgian village experience yet comfortable"

10.0

The rooms are fully covered in wood, which is very beautiful, and there’s cozy bedside light. The area is super neat, with all kinds of flowers, and places to sit outside. In the evening the owner, Toko, offered a delicious dinner and wine degustation. In the morning there was a delicious breakfast as well, and Toko offered tea ceremony which went wonderful, I highly recommend it! The breakfast was for free, and everything else was for a fair price. We also bought his fantastic tea and wine

I wasn’t attentive enough to notice that there’s no access to the bathroom from the rooms, which is a bit inconvenient, and also it was already cold in the end of October and the bathroom didn’t have any heating facility (probably a portable heater would have been placed there on request but we didn’t ask)
