Dogodna lokalizacja, blisko centrum i dworca autobusowego. W mieszkaniu wszystkie niezbędne akcesoria kuchenne. Dla gości dostępny jest nawet płyn do prania co jest super sprawą.

Bardzo ciasne schody na antresolę,

"Nice appartment to explore Catania city center"

8.0

The appartment was great and the location just a few minutes walking from the city center was really convinient. We also managed to park all the nights just a few meters from the appartment in the blue lined paid spots.

The neighborhood was dirty and many cars were parked on the pavements but that is more or less what you can expect in Catania and Sicily towns. The room with the double bed is on the loft and to get there you have to use a really narrow circular staircase. A bit of a problem if you are carrying your cabin luggage upstairs or if you are taller or bigger than average.

"Flat, which looks nice on pix and with fair price, but with a number of problems"

6.0

The location is quite central. Generally speaking, the flat is nice. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is washing liquid to wash your clothes in the washing machine. The upper level is nice with a comfortable bed and aircon, which provides enough heat to sleep well.

Many problems: electricity cut very often(even 3-4 a day if you use the oven; It is hard to lock the front door of the building and it is hard to get in as the door is too narrow and the corridor going up to the flat is very narrow, too. It is not obvious from the pictures how narrow the stairs to go up the bedroom is. I'm 173cm and a bit over 90kilos, and it was hard for me to use those stairs. 7mb of inet was a speed I was happy with in 2007, now you can not even watch youtube without lag. The direction of the flat is north, so there is no chance for a single ray of sunshine in the winter months, the flat gets really cold in the evenings(no isolation) and the air-conditioning is not good enough to heat up the lower level of the flat. The sofa bed is old and uncomfortable, and it needs to be replaced.

"A very disappointing experience."

4.0

We are a couple in our early 60s travelling with our adult daughter. We have stayed all over Italy over many years. My husband is half Italian and went to school/lived in Sicily. The location was good and reasonably close to the main tourist centre. The bus station was about a 20 minute walk and there was a good Lidl supermarket about 20 minutes away on foot. Good washing machine and line over the street. A kettle and oven and microwave supplied. Most kitchen needs were met. Only one tea towel for 4 nights.

No street number was provided so we had to message the owner for this when we couldn’t find the property at night. There was a very narrow and tight spiral staircase which led up to the main bedroom and the bathroom. We could not carry our average sized suitcase up it so my husband and I had to sleep on the sofa bed downstairs. There was a toilet on our level but no shower. Anyone with mobility issues or bigger people would not be able to access the bathroom as they would not cope with these stairs. These would also be very dangerous for children. There were broken cups in the kitchen so there weren’t enough for us. Photo included. The sofa bed was under the staircase on one corner so it was difficult to move around the bed without hitting your head. There was a broken chair in the lounge. Photo included. The owner was very aggressive in her messages when we pointed these issues out. She suggested twice that we leave and find alternative accommodation. There were no instructions on how to use the gas hob so we let the owner know that it seemed the gas had run out. She handled this most unprofessionally, sending very inappropriate messages when it was ascertained that a new gas bottle wasn’t required. On the first morning the power went off because we were using the oven and the kettle at the same time. It would have been useful to have an information booklet about the gas and the power so that we didn’t have to contact the owner. Out on the balcony there was a lot of pigeon droppings so it can’t have been cleaned very often. There was also a really old badly damaged sun umbrella, mops etc on the balcony. The whole place was not clean and it just seemed that the owner didn’t keep close tabs on the state of the apartment and its contents. So, really disappointing as all other Sicily apartments we stayed in were immaculate and run very professionally.
