Honeyguide Ranger Camp

The lodge and the rooms were beautiful. We loved the outdoor shower. Our guide (Charles) was excellent and very accomodating. The food was pleasant but nothing fantastic, actually really basic with not much choice, but we did not go hungry.

We have been to many lodges before in the same price range and we found certain things lacking, for instance: The snacks on the drives were shocking. There were only some rusks in the morning, no muffins or anything else. The after noon drive there were only meat samoosas when we told the lodge one of our party do not eat meat. The second day we took our own snacks on the drive. There was no water offered only the drink you specified for the drink stop. It is not expensive to open a packet of crisps. Most lodges normally give you some biltong and nuts and raisins etc . We found this very dissapointing. When returning from the drives there were no hot towels or wet facecloths to wipe your hands. It is the small things that make you want to go back.

Ontbijt was OK , lunch and dinner too much buffet style and not great

drives were nice but the young ranger must learn the he must talk to the whole group and not only with the loudest joker .

Loved the location and the game viewing and beds were extremely comfortable. Meals were also great with breakfast in the bush and a private dinner in the library.

No coffee and tea facilities in the rooms so you can't have a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise for instance or the stars at night in private.

In one word: super!!! Everything was great: the game drives, the meals, the lodges, the atmosphere. Special thanks for our Ranger Jimmy: he is the best!! 🙏🏻

Max our guide was amazing. All the other staff were also amazing. Everyone went out of their way for you. The food was great as well.
