Etendeka Mountain Camp

The location and the concept of glamping in Namibia in a beautiful part of the country. Friendly staff and the owner who shares stories during breakfast / lunch / dinner. The meals were really really tasty; everyone eats at the same time and at the same table which makes that you connect with fellow travelers.

The strong wind ! Apparently the Western wind is relatively common. This made it difficult to sleep in our tents.

We spent a blissful 3 nights at Etendeka Mountain Camp. The camps location is stunning , the tented rooming perfect . Watching the sun rise from the comfort of a cosy bed through our open tent entrance was amazing. The bucket shower , taken under a star filled sky , most memorable. The staff at Etendeka Mountain Camp were so friendly. The food yummy . The star gazing evening was most informative as were the local hikes guided by Glacius that we enjoyed during our stay at the camp . In addition it was lovely chatting informatively with other guests during the evenings.

Nothing to dislike , our stay was perfect.

Beautiful location, excellent staff doing everything they can to please guests and do their job.

Very bad value for money spent. There are plenty of other lodges in the area for half of the price and much nicer. Etendeka camp badly needs refurbishing and rethinking. Activities are not well sort out - all age groups together , not much choice. Food was tasty and honest in a home-cooking style but inadequate for the price .
