Big breakfasts, very nice lady serving meals and location I wanted.

Staff were mean, service is bad. I booked 6 nights and made a huge mistake paying for all nights. I wanted to take my friend in and they demanded full separation room price for that. I pays 20000 tenge per night and they asked for 18000 for 1 more person. I was disappointed and decided to move to other hotel, they said that they will return for 1 night only, and the rest is fine for canceling. I felt trapped, wronged and disappointed. I raised my voice, and only after that they allowed my friend to stay with me, because I paid for room for two persons, according to their price. Another moment, the key card kept failing all the time, I had had to go down for fixing it. They cleaned room only 1 time after I demanded. Carpet, towels and bedding were not the cleanest possible, smells like chlorine. I regret staying there.

Gokai hotel was great - the staff are wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast is not buffet style and they will prepare it for you after asking and bring it out - everyday was delicious. The location is not ideal for those looking to walk to the main sites (near the White House etc.) but it is not a long taxi drive (download Yandex). Another major thing is the internet - sometimes very very slow, but this is a common problem across hotels in this range in Astana. Would highly recommend
