Pondok Is Oke Ricefild View Bungalow

Het was fantastisch! Een zeer comfortabel appartement voor 3 nachten, fijn bed, goede airconditioning, fijne badkamer en het beste van alles was het eten en de vriendelijkheid en gastvrijheid van de eigenaren. We waren daar voor de Ijen nachtwandeling die we via de gastvrouw en heer heel eenvoudig konden boeken voor een goede prijs. Het was erg leuk om daarnaast tijd te hebben om rond te wandelen door het dorp, wat nog heel authentiek en weinig toeristisch is. De eigenaresse heeft ons haar tuin laten zien en van het fruit en de suikerriet laten proeven, en had veel goede tips voor ons. Taxiservice konden ze ook heel goed regelen. Echt een aanrader voor meerdere dagen!

Iets om rekening mee te houden is de oproep voor ochtendgebed, voor zonsopkomst, aangezien het gebedshuis dichtbij staat. Mocht je een lichte slaper zijn, dan kunnen oordopjes wel fijn zijn.

Location is a spot into the jungle, with a comfortable bed and a very gentle persons. Next to the place you have beautiful rice fields and a yummy restaurant.

Rien ! Endroit idéal pour qui veut se reposer, se balader, profiter d une petite baignade en piscine. Bien situé pour le Ijen. Départ à 3h car nous ne tenions pas à voir les flammes bleues. Sans regrets car nous avons pu accéder aux crêtes pour le lever de soleil sans la foule et redescendre tranquillement après que la foule arrivée tôt pour les Blue fire ne soit repartie.

La chambre et, de manière générale, l'établissement sont supers jolis et cosy. La chambre et la salle de bain sont spacieuses et décorées avec goût. Une bouilloire avec café et thé sont à disposition dans la chambre. Boisson et encas offerts par le personnel à notre arrivée. Personnel serviable. Malheureusement il a plu tout le long de notre séjour donc nous n'avons pas pu profiter de cette belle piscine.

Hébergement éloigné, pas de supérette à proximité, difficile de se déplacer sans être véhiculé

Beautiful large room with comfortable bed, swimming pool, set in a lush tropical garden. Owners were very generous and helpful, providing snacks and fruit from their garden, organising transport and tours, organising laundry and massages for very reasonable prices. The warung at the other end of the village (Bu Widy) does delicious local food. The village is very friendly with children high-fiving us every time we walked up the street. Interesting to watch the rice fields being prepared and planted out.

No negative, just a few tips for future travellers. Location a bit isolated so dependent on own transport or having the owners organise it (although that was part of the appeal for us). Mostly very quiet, but good to shift your body clock to fit around waking up for calls to prayer at the local mosque (convenient for waking up to go to Ijen). If you need an English speaking guide as well as a driver for tours, make sure to check this in advance - Putri came up Ijen with us, which was great as she was able to explain things to us, the other day we had a shorter tour just with her cousin driving, so didn't get any explanations. He was still very helpful and took us to a traditional wedding festival along the way when he heard the music playing - a highlight of that day.

This is a fantastic accommodation with a lovely, helpful family. It was in a beautiful location and it was amazing. We would definitely come back.

Some of the hosts are nice.

The propertit in itself is fine. But the female host has been the worst liar we have seen in whole of the Indonesia. We came a bit late to see the blue fire and asked them if they could arrange a taxi for us, instead of telling is they can’t she told us we can’t go, we need a medical check and we have no time to make the medical check (WHICH WAS A LIE). I ask her if the has a raincoat she says she doesn’t have my size, I tell her then give to my girlfriend she is small, and then she says that she doesn’t have a raincoat. All in all the young lady is disgusting and almost ruined our chance of seeing the blue fire. I am very saddened because I have to give this horrible review as the other kid and the older gentlemen were nice.
