Costa Hollywood Beach

The location was very convenient to the nearby Broadwalk, beach, and restaurants. We loved that ability to explore without a car. The convenience store literally right next door was very useful. The rooftop pool area was really nice and restaurant and bar did feel more upscale. We loved the flexibility to check in early (when available) and ability to use facilities after checking out. That was huge when we had late night flight and had nowhere to go. The cotton candy station for kids and beach toy rental room was very thoughtful and appreciated. The 2 beach chairs included were very nice. Food was yummy at pool bar. The gym was decent. The equipment was nice although some buttons on treadmills need repairs not functioning properly and ease of running was more difficult.

While the lobby, courtyard, and pool areas were very nice, some of the hallways seemed worn and occasionally had a noticeable pet odor that didn’t match the overall appearance of the main common areas. Our condo was owner-rented and was generally clean, but there were a few housekeeping and maintenance issues. We noticed some hair and stains on a couple of blankets, which made us question whether they had been fully refreshed before our stay. A few pillows also appeared to have some pet hair. The furniture showed signs of wear as well. I mentioned the bedding concerns to the owner the following day and was told they would have addressed them had they known sooner. In hindsight, I probably should have reported it immediately. We also had an issue with a pull-down shade that repeatedly came off track. Maintenance responded promptly, but the problem returned shortly afterward. The bar and poolside drinks were good, but prices felt a bit high. They were similar to other tourist-area venues, though we likely would have purchased more if prices had been a little lower. None of these issues ruined our stay, but they are areas where the overall guest experience could be improved.

We spent there four days and for three days in a row the fire alarm was tested. We couldn’t work. The bed was extremely soft.

The location was perfect. The rooftop pool, bar and restaurant were also a very nice amenity.

We were very disappointed with our one bedroom suite. The furniture in the dining and living area were very old and should have been replaced awhile ago. The walls had scuff marks and dirt. The patio door curtain was dirty. The kitchen had bare essentials. No wash cloths, kitchen towels or a broom to sweep up sand that comes in from the beach. We were given 4 bath towels, 2 wash cloths, two hand towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper for entire week with no maid service. The description on the website offered an ocean view. The direct view was of an old buildings rooftop and another tall building. The ocean view was from standing on the patio at 45* angle thru some buildings and trees! I did request a different room only to find that our room was rented through a third party, Sol. I was able to reach Sol, they were not interested in making any improvements.
