Legend has it that Mike came to Anti Paros on a work trip some 40 years ago and got stuck on the island due to a storm. Those extra days he spent made him explore and, eventually, fall in love with it. He ended up buying a plot of land which his daughter now runs as Mike’s Place. An 8 minute walk from the port and facing one of the shallowest, kid-friendly beaches on the island, everything about Mike’s Place is charming - the rooms, the friendly host, and the closeness to the town centre which has some lovely restaurants and bars. There are, apparently, only 3 companies to hire vehicles from on the island, and all 3 are within walking distance to the hotel. As is the famous Nude beach, which is actually a beautiful beach in itself (and nudity is not compulsory).

This is a perfect location for a stay in antiparos. The place is an easy 5 minute walk from the ferry, right next to the sea, in a quiet area, but just around the corner from great Tavernas. The beach next to Mikes place is very shallow, so perfect for young children. As it is not deep the beach doesn't seem to get too crowded. Several other good beaches are walking distance. The views from the balcony are quite nice, even if it doesn't face straight to the sea. The owner and her staff are friendly and very helpful and provided good tips to visit the island.

The facilities are basic, especially the living room/kitchen, so it is not a place where to hang around all day. It is comfortable though and good value for money, especially considering the location.

Amazing view, a very well equipped kitchen. The apartment was close to the main town but not in the middle of the buzz making it very tranquil.

Walking distance from the bustling town but at night it's nice and quiet here (we were here in September). And the hostess is the loviest lady you can imagine!

The pantry was very small

Maria and her mum were lovely. So welcoming and loved the story of why it is called 'Mikes Place'. Room was nicely furnished with kettle, hairdryer and fridge etc. Beautiful side sea view on the 'shared' verandah outside the room. Rooms opposite were a little noisy on the evening but screened privately by bushes so no problem at all. Very quiet shallow waters and beach just outside of property. A few minutes into the town along the sea front and Maria recommended a lovely little back street taverna, that did not disappoint. Loved our one night stay and in hind sight would have loved to have stayed longer. Enjoy your trip to London Maria!

I loved the hospitality of Maria and felt very at home. I loved the ducks walking by and being in front of the ocean which was perfect for an early morning swim. Maria went out of her way to help me with taxis and transfers. I will definitely return!

Noisy - it definitely feels that you live in a communal area that you get noises even from separate building close opposite The room had side Sea view - stepping out on the balcony or get my head out of a window is not aligned with booking.com standards of ‘sea view ‘
