Lofoten Værøy Fyr

A beautiful location, wonderful view of the ocean, interior feels incredibly nice, its a refurbished lighthouse that kept the original walls and elements from the original building to give a unique feeling. Incredibly romantic as a getaway. The hosts were super nice and accommodating, coming to pick us up at the ferry when they heard we weren't driving and the weather was bad. Everyone we interacted with on the island was super nice. The view from the lighthouse portion is unique and worthwhile. We sat up there enjoying puzzles and listening to music, enjoying the view.

The bedroom was lovely and charming, but the bed and duvet was very dusty which did impact my dust allergies making me have a harder time sleeping. The ladder up to the lighthouse didn't have a proper trap-door, and instead had a makeshift polystyrene lid to reduce noise and heat escaping. While functional, it did feel like an afterthought compared to the rest of the location, which feels designed, pristine and high-quality. They had an oven, egg cooker, big fridge and freezer, coffee machine and air fryer, but they didn't have an oven top which somewhat limited the dinner options. Not a deal-breaker but good to know.

The location at the harbour entrance, solitary site directly at the sea. Amazing interior design. Very friendly host made us feel very welcome. Super helpful. Unique feeling of staying in a historic lighthouse, and the breathtaking views!!! Seals spotted closely.
