Murchison Giraffe Camp

The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a relaxing stay. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, even arranging delicious meals upon request. The food was not only tasty but also very reasonably priced. One of the highlights of our stay was watching hippos roam around at night—a truly magical experience. Additionally, they organized a safari for us at a much more affordable rate compared to outside options. Overall, the experience was exceptional, and we couldn’t have asked for more!

There are no fans or charging points in the rooms, as the property operates entirely on solar power. However, you can conveniently charge your mobile devices at the restaurant. Personally, I didn’t find this to be an issue—it’s all part of the charm of staying at an eco-friendly property!

The staff was great! We had really good conversations and everyone was super nice. Location is really nice by the river and close to the park.

The value-price ratio seemed off based on what we’ve seen at other lodges in Uganda. Although one of the more economical properties at Murchison Falls, it is expensive for what you get. Owners need to invest more in upkeep.

There is a nice lookout point. The food is good.

They can improve their services towards arranging/giving advice on activities in the park. Staff can be trained to be more professional at this pricepoint. The property does not fully match expectations based on the pictures as it is still under construction.

Great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lovely staff who went all the way to make you feel comfortabele. Perfect location just outside the main entrance of the parc.
