Sea Shimmer

Both rooms had an ensuite bathroom which was a very pleasant surprise! The property was in excellent condition and super clean. Couldn't have asked for a better place to explore Skye from. The hosts lent us their Tupperware when we forgot to bring ours and it really saved us.

The place is beautifully located on a Loch about a 15 minute drive from Portree. The hosts are lovely and very friendly and accommodating. Can't go wrong here!

Size of apartment.

Fire blanket should be in a fixed place. The best place for a fire blanket is mounted on the wall, marked with the correct signage, red in colour, and where they will be easily seen. Not tucked away on the side of the unit Kitchen is not at all stocked. Zero thought is put into making it feel like home. At least having oil to cook would have been a simple touch. Instead guest are left to buy oil which would last anyone a month. No flexibility was given to dropping bags off earlier , this seemed a little unfair,excuse given was time was needed to clean despite having 6 hours to clean, a bit more of a human touch should be given when dealing with guests. Heating is on a countdown timer when pressed, guests are unable to put on a pre timer to come back to a warm home after a day out in the freezing cold. Entrance needs to be taken care under freezing condition as this iced over and no salt was laid leaving a dangerous slippery slope.

Excellent location with the benefit of overlooking a loch. Friendly hosts
