The Garden and River View were absolutely Superb. Beautiful.

Couldn't work out the TV/Cable System. This is normal in Thailand.

I am travling 5 month . This place was the best. Really.

Just the usual moan I don’t like wet rooms -ok for a short stay

The location: Only a few minutes walk to bars and 7/11. The train station and war cemetery are about a 10 minute walk away. Friendly and helpful staff are lovely.

No fridge in room, but that was probably my fault for not reading the room description more closely.

Smiley Frog was a great place to stay. The room is spacious with a desk and table. The patio is nice to sit out at the table and chairs and there is also a beautiful garden with many chairs and areas to sit. There's also a dock down at the river with tables and chairs and a nice sunset view. The family that runs the place is kind and helpful.

The bed is not comfortable.

I'd stayed here when it was the Jolly Frog, on a raft room, about ten years ago, and really liked it, so based my choice on that. The raft rooms are gone, and the room I had was basic, at best. The owners/managers seemed very friendly and helpful, and I hired my motorcycle from them.

The restaurant was closed on the day and evening, so that was inconvenient, but these things happen. There is a nightclub very close, and it kept me awake until after 2.00 am, which was inconvenient because I had to be up at 0500 to head to the bus station for a bus to Bangkok. At 0030, I thought we were under a terror attack. There was a massive boom, and as I was contemplating packing and running, there was about 5 seconds silence, and then fireworks went on for several minutes. I was there on a Saturday night and don't know if the noise is only a weekend thing, or every night.
