The view from the lodge was excellent lots of boats and wild life to see Very comfortable lodge

Everything! Location, views, sunrise, sunsets, 10 minute walk to pub and train station…. Tina was very helpful and what’s app contact. Milk in fridge on arrival. All fantastic. Would def stay again.

Seriously - nothing. Maybe add an air fryer into the kitchen? Or bring your own…. 😀

Tina, the Holiday Lodge Manager was fantastic. She personally ensured that the lodge was presented to her high standards. Drainage problem that arose was dealt with promptly and professionally with no disruption to us. Lovely location and comfortable accommodation.

No teapot in otherwise well-equipped kitchen. Lack of water depth on river frontage. Our boat ran aground on one low tide. Also a lot of weed being sucked into boat's cooling system and making fishing difficult. To be fair, this problem was not unique to Ferry Lodge but was common everywhere on the upper Yare.

Ferry Lodge is situated on the river Yare and the views of the river are stunning. Even though we stayed in December for Christmas and the weather was not conducive to sitting outside the outside decking is perfect and plenty of seating area. The inside of the Lodge is outstanding and attention to detail is perfect. Tina, who has the overall manager for Norfolk Holiday Lodges, is the most wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble for her. The little touches, such as, candles gifts under the Christmas Tree not to mention the lovely Christmas Tree goes way beyond the call of duty. We loved it so much we have rebooked for the July.

The only tiny issue is lack of mobile service but who needs to be on the phone all the time when you are in such a splendid Lodge

We loved everything about Ferry Lodge. The location was amazing on the river. We fished and watched the beautiful boats go by. There is mooring for a boat should you want to hire one nearby. Plenty of shops for groceries and takeaways. The accommodation was perfect. We had everything we needed. The bait fridge in the shed came in useful too . We will be back. Nice to meet Tina who is onsite for any problems that might crop up.

Everything was perfect for us.

Just a lovely setting on the river - and the lodge had all we needed.

The narrow lane to the property takes some care to lookout for oncoming vehicles.
