ZAZAThe property was very quiet and peaceful, a secluded retreat in the forest. The unit has views over the gardens and access to nearby braai facilities. the unit was self-catering and equipped with the necessary utensils and crockery to prepare meals. A freshly baked bread with jam was also provided. The room was serviced in the morning. There is a local restaurant - the Pot n Plow, which is located some 5km away along the R71 towards Haenertsburg and has a decent menu, which is well executed. Their pizzas are excellent.
The last section of road from the R71 tarred road is accessible to regular non-off-road vehicles, but should be traversed with caution as their are one or two spots that are a little rough with one "sump-buster" rock projecting from the road surface. Fortunately the untarred section of road is only 1.9km long.
ZAZABeautiful accommodation, comfortable cottage stocked with everything oe would need. Surrounded by skyscraper trees, avocado trees, and the most incredible gardens. Loved the complimentary delicious homemade bread, milk and the jams made onsite. There is also a mini farmstore where you can buy treats from this farm. Appreciated the wonderful and warm welcome and chats with the owner. She also gave recommendations on the surrounding area
There's is a dirt road to travel before getting to the cottages but it's so worth it once you arrive
ZABeautiful setting and thank you for upgrading my booking to a room with a double bed. Really liked the booklet on the birds and routes that can be driven in the area to find them. Perhaps mention to guests that the Woodbush drive down to the Debengeni turn-off is currently damaged by rains and only suitable for high-clearance vehicles until it gets graded. Birds were spectacular though!
Lit the fire in the fireplace and the room was filled with smoke despite opening the vent lever on the chimney. Suggest that this is checked.

ZAI liked everything about the farm, our cottage, the morning freshly bread and eggs every morning. The gardens are fabulous and very well taken care of. I can't stop talking about our wonderful host, Shahrzad and Bret. They are very warm and welcoming. The cottage was well equipped with all you need. The farm is close to one of the hiking trails. We got to see the tallest tree in the world 🌎 and some waterfalls.

GBWe had a wonderful stay at Kuhestan Cottages with extended family. Unfortunately the weather was not kind but the comfortable accommodation meant we could make the most of it. And when it was clear the views were amazing!
