ZAZAZAPerfect self-catering in Magoebaskloof, you only need to drive about 2km off R71 on a gravel road. The host prepared baked bread to welcome me to their property and the room has a full kitchen with eggs/ milk/ butter to prepare own breakfast. The chalet is very big with a fireplace/ wall heater/ electric blanket; it is serviced daily, and they even prepare the wood for the fireplace, you just need to light the fire and the room warms up very quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

ZAWe wanted tranquility, as we had been quite ill with covid some time prior to our visit. We received all that and more in Kuhestan. Birdlife was amazing. The bread, butter, jam, eggs, and milk were a real treat, and the hospitality was wonderful. Thank you.

Wall heater not so effective in heating cabin. Fire was difficult to start.
ZAAbsolutely beautiful setting, warm and very welcoming hosts and lovely gardens to explore. The unit had everything we needed and so much more, the pictures don't do it justice. Catered very well for the cold, from the lovely fireplace (with lots of firewood provided daily) wall heater, electric blankets and heated towel rails. A special thanks for the extra breakfast goodies (milk, eggs, butter, jam and freshly baked bread). Thank you Virginia for taking care of the cleaning of the unit, you did an excellent job and were so considerate of our schedule. Thank you Shahrzad for the directions to the tallest planted tree in the world which we finally did find 😀. You live in such a beautiful part of SA, we will definitely be returning and will most certainly be staying with you again.

ZAThe farm is beautiful and peaceful. Our rooms were clean and our wonderful hosts provided us with everything we would need, even some homemade bread, jam and butter! Perfect for summer and winter

ZAWe loved the melodies of birds at dawn and their choruses at dusk, in tune with the whistling pines, true nature's concert. Kuhestan is a Birders and Flower lovers paradise, with hidden gems of treasures waiting to be discovered at every corner and tree-top; and the humourous "Anthophile" host "Sharz" and her partner Brett ready to share their experience. "We went to find peace and quiet, and ended up receiving more from nature; healing, happiness, rejuvenation, and inspiration.'" Thank you for hosting us Brett and Sharz- we will be back in Spring.
Our stay was just short, albeit 4 nights. Should have booked a month :)
