The Cottage

The most incredible holiday home, with amazing views and everything you could need. The property is beautifully decorated, the kitchen is fully equipped and there are various spots you can sit, braai, relax, look at the ocean. The children’s play ground is a fabulous addition for families. Wendy, the helper at The Cottage was kind, helpful and deals with all the little details to make the stay extra special. We loved our time here and would love to come back!

The space itself is stunning — the décor is thoughtfully and tastefully curated, and the attention to detail really makes it feel special. The housekeeper was wonderful and added a personal touch that made the stay even better. The location and view is perfect.

On the downside, some essential amenities weren’t functioning properly. The oven and stove didn’t work, luckily there was a backup oven, but it was unfortunately not big enough to service our group, the Wi‑Fi connection was very unstable, and the power supply fluctuated quite a bit. These practical issues took away from what could have been a flawless experience. Once these are fixed, this will be an outstanding place to stay.

The location, the establishment itself was just perfect. Each space in the house is aesthetically decorated and really beautiful. The view is to die for and it's in close proximity to everything that is worth seeing and doing. The kitchens are packed with everything one needs and what a beautiful main kitchen it is. The place is just beautiful and they're catering for families with kids too...they thought of everything. Wendy is a gem and made sure that we were comfortable. ❤️

The location was awesome.

The following is meant as constructive criticism and is more a heads up to repair certain items and is not a complaint and did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the "cottage". There seemed to be a problem with power overload where certain appliances when used concurrently with others resulted in them switching off which was a little inconvenient. One would have to wait for them to "reboot" so to speak. It was not a case of the electric breaker tripping, so there was no way to speed up the "rebooting" process. Possibly something to do with the inverter system. In addition the bedside lamp in the main upstairs bedroom wasn't working and the plug socket was loose in the wall with the only thing holding it in in place being the wallpaper. The gas braai is very rusted and is in my opinion dangerous to use. It needs replacing. Perhaps if there were stack away doors closing off the braai area, the utensils standing in that area would be protected from the sea air.
