Country Gem

These are very well built, comfortable and well equipped lodges - really nice quality places to stay and in lovely surroundings. Very friendly neighbours and a lovely atmosphere in the park. Even though it was very hot outside with the windows opened and a through breeze the lodge itself was very comfortable. Everything worked, lots of utensils and kit in the kitchen (including a posh ninja air fryer - whoohoo!)

There wasn’t anything to dislike about the property, except having to go home at the end.

The location was lovely and restful and the accommodation exceeded our expectations, it was all the little extra thoughtful details and equipment/supplies which had been included which elevated it way beyond what you would normally receive. The owners Jill and John really take care of their guests.

I wish we had stayed longer !

The lodge was lovely, very homely and had everything you needed.

The only thing to note was the WiFi wasn’t working on our first night, however there had been an outage so the whole village was affected and out of anyone’s control.

The location is stunning, surrounded by nature. Very comfortable lodge, with all the home comforts. Couldn't wish for more. The Hosts really look after you. The lodge is beautifully kitted out, everything you need for a little break away from work commitments. Would highly recommend to anyone that needs to get away from day to day life.

Warm , clean and tidy.

Didn’t realise it’s per person per night !! My parents in law decided to come with us last minute so we were charged extra £60 for having them stay. This was unexpected as I thought it was payment just for the lodge. It does state you have to say how many guests but not clear that it charges more per person per night! Furniture uncomfortable Settee Main bed lumpy and slanting No light on decking Bad WiFi Television choice terrible as bad wifi. Unable to get any wifi if more than one person using it. Not sure if Mouse droppings on sofa cushion (mother in law noticed 😩) Spindles on decking large so had to trap the dog in one area to stop her escaping. Decking needs netting of some kind. Host was good but not her property so can understand her hands are tied ! Kitchen table large for area, chairs heavy as concrete to manoeuvre when eating , seats lift up so mind your fingers 😫!! Sofa not situated in correct place for watching telly. Bedrooms cramped but im sure that’s just the size of lodge. Furniture needs to fit the lodge which would help. No where to put groceries as all cupboards full. All in all disappointed with the lodge and wouldn’t return.

I loved how spacious it was and so peaceful . The pictures on booking.com didn't do the place justice. Had some brilliant recommendations from the host , where to eat and was very satisfied. It was like home from home and would 100% go there again.

The gym and swimming pool was very expensive. £10 to use the gym once and another £10 if you wanted a swim

Country gem was exceptional. It is a lovely lodge, 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. Perfect for 3 adults. Country gem is dog friendly and has an enclosed verandar. Very clean and very quiet..

Nothing

The caravan was lovely and Jean made us feel very welcome and was very helpful. Very well equipped and free broadband was a bonus. Most places we have stayed charge a lot for that alone. Bed was comfy as were the settees in the living area. Kitchen has everything and more. So glad we picked this accommodation for our stay and will be returning soon we hope. Lovely friendly site and if you like golf then this is for you. Thank you Jean & John.
