Moon Hakone was one of my favourite places on my travels throughout Japan. Just far enough out of the city to feel in utter bliss. The sauna and tub are a great way to start the day along with the camp fire on a still evening. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and the hosts are very communicative and helpful. Thank you very very much

We had a wonderful stay at Moon Hakone! The house was big, spotless, and very comfortable. Communication with the host was clear and smooth from start to finish. The area was quiet and peaceful, and the sauna facility was such a nice bonus—very relaxing! I really enjoyed my time here and wish I could have stayed longer. Hopefully, I’ll be back again soon!

Everything was grand - such a lovely and tranquil place to stay. We especially loved the sauna and the wooden soaking tub.

Pillows and beds a bit too firm for us but this seems to be standard in Japan

Accommodation was excellent. Space after 5 days in Tokyo. Correspondence was v prompt. It was in Japanese but Google translate helped. We did manage to get taxis and I would say it is necessary on arrival with luggage. We waited max 10 mins to flag a taxi down. No issues with any instructions which were v detailed. Sauna was easy to use and v enjoyable. Kitchen stocked. Washing machine and dryer were outside but not an issue. Quiet. Living room and tv good. Rooms and beds comfortable. Shower good, Walked once to the station downhill and wasn’t difficult downhill. Probably less than 30 mins. Would recommend at least 2 nights in Hakone as it takes a good day to explore. Hakone is very different from Tokyo and we generally bought our drinks and food at Lawsons and got a taxi back up the hill. Was nice to relax at moon hakone after the days travel.

This house is as beautiful as the pictures! Clean surrounded by beautiful nature!

The bedrooms are very small! If you have more than 4 persons, someone has to sleep in a very small room with no window! This property at a remote location with small bedrooms is way overpriced. Now I understand why the rating for this property is so high. Because if you give a rating of 10, you can enjoy the beverage in the refrigerator for free. This is a very cheap way of buying a high rating! I absolutely cannot tolerate this!!!!
