Machcha Lodge Sigiriya

Kamal was an excellent host, welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help. The accommodation is in a beautiful , off-the-beaten-track location, right next to Roy’s Place Hostel, which makes it easy to meet other travellers and join the organised tours and activities they offer. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible wildlife surrounding the property. There was an abundance of birds and other wildlife, including monkeys and a hornbill that was a regular visitor to the bird table.

Such a friendly host and beautiful comfortable room. Excellent breakfast as well. A must stay in Sigiriya

Absolutely everything, the owner Kamal was so friendly , the most beautiful gardens and accommodation. Toucan, peacocks and squirrels right outside my door. Breakfast was incredible.

Echt een hele fijne plek! We verbleven hier 2 nachten, het zijn fijne ruime kamers, met ruime en mooie badkamer en een goede airco. Het ligt tegenover Roys Villa Hostel, waar je gebruik kan maken van het zwembad, familie diner of andere activiteiten. De gastheer is echt ontzettend lief en wil je met alles helpen! Dan nog niet gesproken over het ontbijt, ontzettend lekker en vers bereid en flinke porties! Kortom, deze lodge is een grote aanrader!

Kamal was ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam. Zijn ontbijt was heerlijk. Prachtige tuin waar veel dieren en vogels op bezoek komen.

Wij kwamen voor de rust maar tegenover zit een hostel waar tot avonds laat muziek wordt gedraaid..

The room was nice and big! The bed was really comfortable. We booked all of our activities at Roy’s Villa next door, where you can also join in for dinner. Breakfast was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka! Staff was lovely.
