The location was excellent. Massimo was very accommodating and the room was comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

The appartment is located in the city center and (from the roof terrace, which is always accessible to all guests of the three vacation apartments of the house) has a beautiful view of the town and of the etna volcano. Also there are some snacks, some food and something to drink in the refrigerators (the one in the room and the one at the roof terrace). Note: I was the only guest (in other words, the other two appartments were not occupied) during most of the time.

There is really nothing which could be done better with the appartment! The host even sent me one of the bus schedules (Servizio Tao-Link). If you are travelling by train, I hope that the following helps you a bit, especially if you are not a native Italian speaker. It is not related to the appartment itself but as it can affect the stay in Taormina, I think it's worth mentioning here. The bus transfer from the train station to the town and back was complicated for me. There are at least two different companies running bus lines between Taormina-Giardini and the town of Taormina but it is not easy to find out which bus belongs to which company and where exactly in the town the bus stops. The bus drivers were always nice and answered my questions. There are no maps at the train station which indicate where the bus stops in the town, and the bus line which is offered when ordering a train ticket (Servizio Tao-Link) was not on time, neither from nor to the train station. So I chose the other bus line (Interbus S.p.A.) in both cases. The price is just around 1.50 EUR. You can purchase the ticket at the bus driver when going from the train station, and you must purchase the ticket at the ticket counter (belongs to Interbus S.p.A) when starting from the bus terminal at Taormina. Don't expect the person at the ticket counter to answer any question about the other bus line. If you need to get a certain train back from the town, better choose one bus earlier or take a taxi. I was lucky to catch my train because it had enough delay.

The room was clean and in a good location. The bathroom was small but was newly remodeled. There is a common terrace on 4th floor with coffee machine and some snacks and a partial sea view, but we did not use it.

Taxi cannot get to the building and it dropped us about 1200’ from the apartment. We walked a couple minutes to a bar where we met the host. The host carried my wife’s luggage and I carried mine. You have to go up 15 wide steps to reach the building. Our unit was on third floor. We had to walk up 15 steps to the front door, 30 additional narrow steps to our unit. The room at best is the size of small hotel room. Minimal amenities with IKEA type of furnitures. Staying in the room just did not feel like vacation.
