Our stay at Mizunoha Machiya House was exceptional. The beautifully restored townhouse seamlessly blends traditional Kyoto charm with modern comforts. With three spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, it was perfect for our family. The fully equipped kitchen and serene garden added to the experience. Located in the heart of Higashiyama, we were within walking distance of major attractions. The staff was incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English. We highly recommend this property for anyone seeking an authentic Kyoto experience.

Could add a bit more lighting as the house is relatively dark.

The staff at the office was very helpful and spoke English. The property itself was beautiful. Having three full bathrooms was wonderful, and difficult to find in Japan. The place was immaculate, so clean, and well cared for. Being able to start and end the day with the provided coffee and tea was something special. We stayed in 3 cities in Japan, and my teenage children love this property and thought it was the best!

The difficult part about checking in is that you have to go to the office near Kyoto Station first, you cannot go straight to the property. If you happen to walk out of the exit on the Shinkansen side, you have to lug your baggage around Kyoto Station on the street until you get to the office.
