We loved the location right by the river, the view from the top balcony and the bird song. The house has everything you need, with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. We felt safe and relaxed for our whole stay. The fence around the garden meant our dog could enjoy the garden too.

The top rooms get a bit hot, but there are fans to help with this.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Easy to get into. Communication with Jayne was great. Wish we'd had more time!

We loved this delightful cottage with fun, character-filled décor and beautifully thoughtful kitchen and bathroom amenities. The views are stunning, with lovely river frontage and abundant birdlife to enjoy from the upstairs deck. Our family had a thoroughly enjoyable stay — it’s the perfect spot to relax and soak up country village life. The village itself is safe, easy to walk around, and full of things to do, including a scenic river path, charming arty shops, and a great selection of delis and restaurants. Truly a gem and a very memorable holiday.

Stunning birding location on the river and wandelpad, beautiful decor and many beautiful books and magazines, well stocked kitchen, good fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Good water pressure for the shower. Loved the Lady Anne river cruise withthe very informative Peter, Walker Bay nature reserve caves, the local Mexican restaurant, Birkenhead Brewery, Spookfontein winery, Hermanus walkway and the Oude meul for coffee and breakfast. Just a stunning town with so many walking opportunities and greenery, close to Hermanus, which becomes very busy over the holidays. We felt safe, lovely to see so many cheerful elderly ladies walking with their dogs early morning. Would love to be back asap.
