YHA Keswick

Exceptional value for money on a Sunday night. The property is great, rooms clean, all shared facilities (toilets and showers) nice and clean, with lots of hot water. Nice breakfast in the morning too.

Only minor niggle - no car park or parking facilities. Restricted on street car parking, unrestricted a 2 minute walk away. Not an issue really (in the nice weather)

Parking. We were abused by another guest at breakfast for taking 2 additional sausages at an unlimited breakfast which we paid £9.95 for and the member of staff did not intervene whilst the other guest became aggressive. There was a member of staff who was incredibly rude also, demanding we had to leave our breakfast and go to the till to pay, even though there was no mention of this and no flexibility. Very bad attitude and an obvious miscommunication but was made in to an awkward situation and my party of 6 felt really uncomfortable. Overall the stay was ok, but I would not be recommending to friends, family or hiking network to stay here in future.

A great location to explore Keswick, excellent facilities on site, large kitchen diner. Food and drinks bar that is available available looks great.
