"It was a pleasant and cozy stay."

It was a beautiful lakeside house that's quiet and lovely. The owners are meticulous and the stay and check-in information were well put-together.

It was hard to find the entrance to the house and we took a while as it was already dark when we arrived. The road leading to the house had a curb that hard it hard to drive onto it.

"Stunning views"

The house has a beautiful outlook and is very clean and tidy. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, birdsong. Locals were warm and friendly.

No television for the duration of our stay. We phoned the owners and they sent a technician the same day but unfortunately it was not a quick fix. Driveway and road in may be an issue for nervous or older drivers.

"A thorougly enjoyable stay."

A spacious, well-maintained holiday home superbly located for serene sea views. Lovely outdoor decking with steps down to beach and all surrounded by lush native bush. The native bird song is a real treat. Clean, comfortable and peaceful, the house has all the amenities you need for a home away from home.

"Lovely Vacation Home"

Lovely vacation home perched on a hillside above the water. Great views across the bay, and an accessible (if steep) walking path down to the water. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable, cozy. Quail families greeted us every time we drove in or out. mostly by running along the road. Good access to Akaroa town without being in the middle of it, easy to hop onto summit road for the scenic experience.

Like many a New Zealand driveway, the driving experience is a white-knuckled precision approach on a hill. Take it slowly and you'll be fine, or just park on the road above the driveway.

What a beautiful and calm place with nice views and lots of space. The stray was really clean and we found everything we needed. The communication was super easy. I would definitely recommend that place!

"Tranquil haven with views and birdsong."

We loved the view, close proximity to the water and the amazing birdsong. Lots of games provided for rainy days. Away from the busy-ness of Akaroa although close enough to visit.

Steep driveway down to property and cramped parking/turn around area at house as we had 2 cars. CCTV camera in house felt intrusive.
