Lovely looking Greek property

Was run down burns on light switch water running out of kitchen sink ,pool was green all the way around the side,oh and had to ask for toilet roll room wasn’t cleaned great ☹️

Loved that as a solo traveller I had a whole room and bathroom to myself at an island villa for one of the best prices on Kefalonia. Nice little pool and a great view of Skala beach. Huge bed + a single bed was nice and the small fridge was very handy for storing food. Adorable cats made the stay lovely. Extended my stay by 2 nights because it was worth it.

The bathroom was fine, but it's a wet bathroom, so showering means wetting the entire bathroom. This can be a little inconvenient, so I wonder if it's possible to install a shower curtain. The accommodation host was kind, but it was tricky to arrange payment for the extension, which was a bit frustrating. Skala location is difficult to get to by bus from the ferry, so be prepared to spend a lot of cash on taxis, which is inconvenient.

Where to start!? They didn’t provide toilet rolls, a tea towel, washing up liquid or a hair dryer. I did ask for a hair dryer and was told no. The sheets and towels weren’t changed for 10 days, and the 2 shower mats provided were literally rags. However, worst of all is the neglected, dilapidated state of the place - which is nothing even close to their photos. Surely this has to be illegal? There is no pool bar. This is an overgrown dumping ground for old paint tins etc, and the big pile of broken furniture. Clearly hasn’t been a working pool bar for donkeys years….yet booking.com’s home page for the place shows a fantastic (open) pool bar. Yes, the lady that runs the place is old, and has clearly let things go, so new (truthful) photos should be on booking.com…along with reduced prices reflecting the shabby place it now is. So sad. Came here years ago - place has gone right down. The plastic access cover at the edge of the pool is broken and dangerous. Everything’s broken! Most of the (mis matched) sun loungers and sun brollies were broken. ALL the plastic chairs were old, dirty, stained and broken.

Beautiful gardens, lovely simple accommodation, great location, super informal and relaxing.
