Yogg Hostel

The only good thing about this property is it’s located very close to Ganga River.

1) Lack of cleanliness. 2) No comfortable chairs to sit on the terrace. The ones that are there are all broken. 3) No extra glasses to Drink Water. ( everyone drinks from one same glass) 4) Dorms are very congested. 5) Owner is rude and disturbs people with his biased political views who come there for peace and spirituality.

Yogg Hostel is hands down one of the cool stay!! I arrived at 3 AM, half-expecting chaos, but the staff were absolute legends—responding instantly and making sure I was sorted without a hitch. The vibe here is unbeatable- chill, clean, and perfect for connecting with fellow travelers. Whether you’re crashing after exploring the ghats or just soaking in the energy of Varanasi, this place feels like a home away from home. Big shoutout to the amazing team for their kindness and attention to detail. Can’t recommend Yogg Hostel enough—if you’re in Varanasi, and a solo or couple travellers then this is the spot to be!

Nothing to dislike in this price tag

One of my favourite hostel in banaras. The owner and staff is very helpful and kind. They have Comfortable and clean bunk beds. Must recommend hostel

Only the location is good. Services and staff are absolutely ridiculous

I had a late check-in (around 1.30 PM). My bed was not ready and the sheets were yet to be changed. I was assured that it will be ready by 3.30 PM; it still was not. I was finally told that it would be ready by 5 PM. I came back to the hostel at 8 PM and I see it was still not ready. I asked the receptionist to change it ASAP. I sat in the reception area for 45-50 mins and asked him for the status thrice. He was very absurd and unclear. However, he explained that fresh bedsheets were unavailable as they were still being laundered and needed to arrive from the laundry. It's been already 7 hours since I checked in, and now they're saying that bedsheets are unavailable. Very disappointing. One very shocking thing about quilt covers is they change it only after 15 days, AND NOT after each check-out, because apparently, that's their "rule". So you basically are using a USED, unhygienic quilt. GROSS. Thankfully, I was carrying my own quilt and decided to use that. When I confronted the receptionist stating if it was someone else, they would have scolded you guys already. One of the staffs from inside the staff room said from inside "Agar koi gariyata, toh hum usse bahar hi nikal dete". This was very shocking and insulting. Furiously, I went to confront that staff member, but the receptionist interrupted and apologized for his misbehaviour. I had booked my stay for 4 nights, but I decided to check out and go to another hostel. I didn't expect any refund from them and walked away. The receptionist knew that I'm checking out 3 days early. And with his rude behaviour and attitude, he wasn't bothered to acknowledge the fact that it was their mistake, and I left the place. Coming to cleanliness, it was awfully bad, and this is the worst hostel I've stayed in.
