GBGBI loved how peaceful the location is. I’ve never slept better! At night, I could hear owls which was lovely. There is some road noise but not too loud.
There is a drinking water tap on the other side of the lake where people camp with tents. I decided to fill some water bottles but the first one I filled was cloudy and a brownish colour with sediment in. I asked if the water was ok to drink and was told it comes directly from the mains. Maybe it does but I still didn’t want to drink some brown water with bits in! I didn’t even give that to my dog! During my stay, after having boiled some water on the stove, the carbon monoxide alarm went off. I texted Nigel and his response was to leave the front door open, “if you’re worried.” And to speak to the maintenance guy next time he’s on site. I wasn’t sure if steam could set these alarms off and maybe that is all it was but what if it wasn’t!
GBThe whole holiday was perfect. Kevin was incredibly helpful. We feel he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and have a wonderful holiday.

GBGBBeautiful area, wood and charcoal provided was very helpful, lots of bedding made for a comfortable sleep, the fridge was a very nice surprise. Overall it is a lovely place to stay and would definitely return. I'm sure any minor shortcomings were out of the ordinary.
I wasn't greeted so I had to work out how to work a few things by myself (I was at my hut for 2.5hrs in the check-in window). Gas ran out during my stay even though there were two big tanks. Not sure why the extra fee for the dog or them asking for her name was for as there wasn't anything extra and it's not a hotel room.
