Lovely, really helpful host. Delicious breakfast. Room was spacey and the bed comfortable.

You can hear all the noices coming from the road next to your room, so if you are a light sleeper you might have some trouble falling asleep.

Mama was the most inviting and helpful person we have met in Sri Lanka. Her recommendations for food (Priyankas restaurant) and activities were second to none. She helped us rent a scooter for a great price. She even let us watch and learn how to make our delicious Sri Lankan breakfast with her. Cannot recommend her and her homestay enough. What a wonderful place and with such a lovely family. We hope to come back soon!

"Lovely stay in Hiriketiya!"

Lovely hosts who were very welcoming and so helpful, we had a delicious varied breakfast each morning! Room was clean and comfortable, good mosquito net and AC. Location was great for both town and the beach, they helped us arrange a Tuktuk to turtle point and our next accomodation. Super cute animals! Would recommend!

Can be quite noisy from the road. Bathroom could be updated.

Super friendly and helpful host, delicious breakfast, good communication! Had a nice AC, walking distance to Hiriketiya beach and Dikwella Beach

The shower wasn’t very clean, not a lot of storage space like a shelf or something, a bit noisy because it’s next to a road and the hut is not very soundproof.

Wow, this was the best experience in Sri Lanka for us! The room is decent, clean and good, but the hosts make all the difference. We were invited for the birthday of the hostess’s husband, with cake and their complete family. Such a loving family, and the breakfast was 10/10. Really recommend to book here, and no this is not a sponsored review 😂 Thank you so much Helena and family 🩷🩷🩷

"Lovely stay with the family"

We really enjoy our stay at Helena’s. We had such a lovely welcome and all the family members were super nice. They took care of our babyboy so that we could eat breakfast. They washed our laundry and even came to Matara to bring one tshirt that we forgot.
