Waterfront Guest House

The site is beautiful.

We arrived on a rainy day and there were three puddles of water inside the accommodation (in the kitchen and the bedroom). It was difficult to get enough towels to mop it up. It rained all night and one of the bedrooms is directly under the metal roof with no insulation: it was cold and extremely noisy. The next morning, no one checked on the situation to see whether the leaks had stopped, whether we were inconvenienced, or whether we needed help. Three lights remained on outside our windows during the first night and we could not find any way to switch them off. For good reason—the switch was not connected to our accommodation. We felt very uncomfortable and asked that the cleaning service not enter the apartment in our absence. The lady said “ok” and then left with the key to the back door in front of us. We had to run after her to ask her to leave us our key. In fact, they use the family apartment to take dishes and supply the other accommodations. As a result, we only had three forks for our entire stay, and nothing was corrected after I mentioned it to the staff member. The rooms are so poorly separated that from our living room I could hear the person on the phone in the room next door. I could even smell the neighbors’ perfume. The swimming pool was dirty and green; the pool vacuum was inside but not working. It should also be noted that access to the lake is entirely private and only accessible with payment during the day, and you have to drive to reach public access (in front of the guest house it is a private club). Although the region is pleasant, the accommodation was not at all up to standard, with no attempt made to improve the situation or offer any form of compensation.
