Well appointed, clean and comfortable.

Second stay here. Lovely apartment with well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels. A few niggles the first stay which have since been addressed. Stayed as a solo traveler this time and felt completely safe. Cafe, deli/butcher and Indian restaurant on site. Pubs, restaurants, co op, takeaway pizza and fish and chips all within a 10-15 minute walk. Woodland/river and moorland walks in close proximity. Will stay here again.

Nice character interior with high ceilings. It's a full kitchen not a kitchenette, so there was an oven although we weren't expecting it (would have been good to know this beforehand; listing doesn't include it). Plenty of glasses and nice crockery. a few more utensils would be useful. Bed linen very nice, plenty of towels and lots of loo roll, cleaning stuff etc. Having the cafe downstairs, plus a lovely butcher / deli and an Indian restaurant / takeaway was very handy. It's quiet despite being on an A road, we didn't notice traffic and not at all bothered during the night. There are walks directly from the property and plenty of space to park off road. We were two couples and enjoyed our stay.

The lighting is terrible in the main room! Even in the daytime it is difficult to read and once it gets dark, impossible to read, play games, prepare food etc. It needs some spot lighting over the kitchen breakfast bar area and some lampstands in the lounge area. There isn't really enough seating for four adults to sit in the lounge area. There is plenty of room for another comfy chair and that would be a great addition. Listing says dishwasher and coffee maker though these aren't there; another reviewer has remarked on this but the listing is still inaccurate. There is no casserole dish or similar for cooking anything in the oven. The bathroom door creaks badly, disturbing sleepers during the night, and the blind in bedroom 2 wasn't working. We spent some time fixing this, it wasn't easy but got there in the end. We put soap on the bathroom door hinges which helped a bit. Some areas were dusty and there was stale smelly milk in the fridge when we arrived.

Well equipped, tastefully restored building. Close to motorway and amenities in Ripponden.

Located on main road, traffic noise going to and from motorway was very loud. Sealed double glazing units in situ already but would suggest secondary double glazing units to bedroom windows. Access to property via outside steps very steep and not lit with no handrail. Not bad going up as street light partially lights stairs but coming down pitch black and dangerous. Perhaps some stair illumination and a handrail.

The location was good. The apartment was decorated to a high standard. The staff in the cafe below were very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable well appointed property. Everything provided for our overnight stay.

Could do with mirror on wall above the sink in the bathroom. Handrail outside on steps would be helpful, especially for older people.

New, clean, modern, breakfast deal was good.

Very loud squeaky bathroom door so going to the loo at night was tricky and broken blind in bedroom.

Wry clean and nicely furnished.

Loved the layout and the decor. Plus the bedding was so soft and and smelled lovely. Also got a free breakfast.

The only couple of things were the spiders and also there appeared to be no dishwasher as advertised and couldn't see a coffee machine which was also advertised.
