Cosy Coastal Apartment

The property was very run down and needs a huge amount of work. I felt dirty staying there and guilty that my children had to stay there. My daughter said "Mummy, this apartment makes me appreciate how lucky we are to live in a nice home". The photographs looked very appealing on the website but must have been taken a few years ago or by someone who is good at photography and hiding the true scene. If I could have cancelled and got a full refund after entering the place and seeing it I would have done so. Then we could have stayed elsewhere. The positive side was the beds were comfy. Due to the condition of the place the only thing we did was sleep there. We made sure we were out and busy all day. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone and feel very disappointed with our stay.

Nice apartment, well looked after, clean, comfy and smart. Easy to get to shops and beach. All within walking distance

Shower needs replacing and maybe the stove too but it all worked fine and was well looked after

Location good. Very clean inside appartment. Good heating. Good supply hot water. Appeared to have a good range of kitchen appliances, although we did not use the big oven or washing machine. Clean towels supplied. Parking permit supplied. TV reception good- but all are internet based so you need your account details or need to set one up to use it.

Although spotlessly clean and well resourced more attention to finishing detail needed on areas such as: Shower very cramped to get under running water and impossible to not wet windowsill. Difficult with only a shower connected to taps rather than a separate shower unit. The sealant around the sink and the bath panel need attention. Electric sockets look very old, some are loose and the one in the entranceway has exposed wires. Entrance hall and garden area at front need a good tidy up - big impact for small effort There were over 30 steps within this accomodation. It is an attic flat. Fine if you are able bodied but that needs putting clearly in the description.

Could have done with an extra fan, quite warm in the bedrooms. Also could have used a small coffee table in the lounge.

Excellent location. Spacious apartment.

Due to road works outside the property, we had to park at the rear of the property. This meant having to walk round the entirety of the row of terraced houses to access the key at the front door. As the apartment was on the top floor, we had to carry luggage from the car up the fire escape stairs into the rear of the property. Then do all of this in reverse at the end of the stay. There was no information on what outside bin to use - not one marked with the apartment number. A cleaning cloth for doing dishes would have been useful, as would one for drying.

The property was right next to Whitley Bays Maine high street. The beds were so so cosy I felt so refreshed. It’s very spacious and was perfect place to stay when I was visiting family. Also the rooms looked exactly like the photos. The property provided fridge,cooker,microwave and kettle. The tea,coffee and sugar jars were already filled.

The only negatives was there was 3-4 flights of stairs to carry our suitcases up . The keys need to be labelled as a lot of keys it’s took me so many times to get the right key for each door (two keys were identical). There was a washer in the property but it was in a usable condition due to needing a massive deep clean which sadly I didn’t have time for.
