Cottage excellent and great location

A perfect location, amazing views, peaceful and beautiful property like out of a dream, loved every second

Local roads are a bit rough but it is the Mournes so to be expected.

Location and the property’s facilities were both amazing.

The cottage is absolutely stunning! The location is great and the views are amazing! The Ferry over to Carlingford is just around the corner. The cottage has everything you need and is furnished to a high standard.

That we had to leave 😕

We loved the cottage, its location, the amenities of the cottage. The hights that Tara has gone to make sure her guests enjoy not only the cottage but all aspects of their holiday is 5 star. There was everything you need in the cottage and was decorated to an exceptionally high standard. The cottage was extremely clean both inside and out. The information books for things to do were full of useful information and Tara sent a message to say if she could help in any way to contact her, how many hosts do that....amazing. The location is wonderful and so so quiet in the evening that sitting outside was such a pleasure. We all slept so well in the solitude. As a family we enjoyed the games that were available, cards, dominoes, board games and a 500 piece jigsaw that we completed and yes all the pieces were there lol. As this was my grandson's first mini holiday at 7 1/2 months there was a highchair and travel cot available which was fantastic for us, plus some toys and beach toys. So if you are looking for a vacation at the beach, in easy reach of Mourne Mountain, 5 star accommodation, with a host that went out of her way to help you make wonderful holiday memories then look no further.

I can honestly say there was nothing we did not like, that may sound strange but when I say we will be back to The Lighthouse Cottage I think that speaks volumes.

The views!!! The brand new house and all modern facilities!! The comfort! Very accommodating and helpful hosts. One of the best places in Ireland we have ever stayed. Would be delighted to come back. Can highly recommend the Lighthouse Cottage.

Lovely house, beautifully furnished and a brilliant location.

The bed could have been a bit comfier, but other than that everything was brilliant

Everything you could possibly need was at our fingertips! The cottage is right at the beach and is immaculately clean. The furnishings are tasteful and comfortable and the hosts are very easily contactable. We loved the extra touches included in the welcome pack as well. There’s even a warm water tap outside to rinse your feet after being at the beach, and much is beautiful. We had a few swims, including one in the moonlight under the Northern Lights! The views from every window are fabulous whether overlooking the fields, the Mournes or the lighthouse in the Lough.

That we had to leave.

A lovely stay in a super house full of beach house charm but with all the modern amenities. Great proximity to the long sandy beach for walks and good safe swimming. Tara our host could not have been more helpful before, during and indeed after our stay when we discovered we had left some items behind ! Definitely a thumbs up from us and a paws up from Murph our Labrador !!

A car needed to access bars and restaurants but part of the charm.
