Summer Bliss Beachfront Apartment

Check in was a nightmare. The host couldnt pick up the phone to let us in. It took an hour of calling before we gained access to the apartment. Only to be underwhelmed by the standard of the accommodation. Dirty couches, cheap quality crockery and cutlery, cheap distateful organza curtain in the living room, messy and dirty drying area, the provided wifi details didnt work until we were connected to the neighbour's wifi a day later. It was shocking to be asked to pay a R1. 2K refundable deposit after accepting the booking.com rate that didnt mention no deposit. That lack of transparency is disturbing, particularly when a guest has aceepted the booking.com terms and conditiins, only to be given more unnecessary breakage fee deposit. To have paid R3.6K for 2 nights using sub standard equipment is greedy and indecent. Particularly, when we had no wifi access for a day, given 2 satchets of ricoffy, powdered milk and terrible TV sound. We could have paid that 5 star rate accommodation at the Radison and Paxton apartments without any of the hustles and lack of professionalism we experienced there. The accommodation doesn't deserve the rate, In short, they've ripped us off. For that low standard accommodation, we should have paid R900 per night. The place is run by greedy unprofessional money grabbing amateurs.
