"Cute gem, at Naoshima"

This charming place is listed as a villa. I think it’s adorable - I especially love the tatami mats and sliding doors it's good to know that the beamer at the ceiling is also a lamp). It’s just a little over a 10-minute walk from Miyanoura Port on Naoshima. I only stayed for one night, but this cozy spot would be perfect for a longer stay too.

It's not that it is extreme luxurious, but in my opinion all was well.

It was clean and comfortable and next to a small beach. Naoshima island is fascinating and full of art galleries. We saw jumping fish, sea eagles and herons from the beach.

It wasn’t clear from the listing that the place we stayed was an annexe to the main house and not the house on the photos. Also the beach was quite industrial. It was a 12 minute walk from the ferry port.
