Antipaxos sunset house

I loved the quiet location, the walk the Voutoumi Beach, the rustic authentic Greek feel of the villa, the outside space, the friendly cats and the lovely helpful owner Giannis, who also runs the Taverna on Voutoumi Beach which is handy. Staying on Antipaxos means you can be on the beach when the day visitors haven't arrived (by about 10am) or when they leave (about 4.30pm) so you have the place to yourself mostly then. The two main beaches are just stunning. There's a local ferry from Paxos (for €1.50): It leaves from Zefis travel office in central Gaios, 9.30am and 4.30pm and goes to Antipaxos harbour (Agrapidia). Only on Monday, weds, thurs and Friday in high season. It's only 10 min walk to villa from there, but Giannis arranged a lift for us with our luggage anyhow at earlier check in. The return ferry is about 30 mins after it leaves Paxos, so 10am and 5pm.

Het eiland is bijzonder en magisch. Het is er heel rustig, amper toeristen. De eigenaar, Giannis, is zeer behulpzaam. De stranden lijken op de Caribbean. Je kan er heerlijk eten en zwemmen. Boodschappen bestel je vooraf in Paxos en worden per boot bezorgd. Als je van rust en natuur houdt, is dit een aanrader.
