Good for a stay over on the Namibia-Cape Town Route. Gerhardt is a smart guy with lots of good hints concerning where to go and where to eat (try Herb Garden restaurant!).

Shaded and secure parking available under the vine trellis. Normal bakkies will fit, anything higher or with rooftop tents can still go in the yard but not in the shade. There is a remote controlled gate and the property is fenced, so parking is secure. The verandas were nice and shaded and clean, as was the room. There is a small fridge in the room. The aircon worked well. There were two comfortable pillows per person provided which is how it should be. The owner greeted us swiftly upon arrival and was nice. The location is in a residential area just outside the town so it is nice and quiet. Hot water in bathroom came through quickly so there was less water wasted waiting for it to come through. Overall it served us well as a one night stopover.

The coffee station in the room was very sad, a couple of sticks of instant coffee with no milk/creamer. There wasn't even a full loo roll and no spare, so we ran out overnight. There was also an ant problem in the bathroom. The description of the location is noted as walking distance to restaurants/bars - note that this is not the case. One will need to take the car. Many reviewers were leaving great feedback about the breakfast - it was just about average but the fresh filter coffee was appreciated.
