Tranquil Haven Retreat

Very modern & clean - ideal for one night stay to go to family party. Host very responsive and accommodating. Good value for money.

it is a converted garage so space a bit tight & no door between seating area & bedroom so slight lack of privacy.

Location is very tranquil and quiet on onsight parking. Key was in a safe box and was easy to access with a code. The flat was in spotless and neat condition, perfect for us 3, could even take a 4th person. The kitchen is equipped with all the main items required for basic food prep and cooking. Small dinner table with folding chairs for meal times. Tea bags, coffee, sugar and UHT milk to start you off on the day you arrive. There is a double bed and a sofa bed with arm chair. Small bathroom with a shower (no bath) with fresh towels for each person. Hand soap and shower gel was available. 2 cooling fans in the appartment as well as 1 electric heater. Flat screen TV and wifi available.

Curtains are definatly needed to give shade from the outside light when watching TV as the light reflects into the screen. Curtains would also be an added method of keeping the cool air out especially in cooler nights. It defitantly got cold at night and I could feel a draft comming in from the blinds. Sofa bed was not as comfortable and felt very lumpy. It would be great to have a matteress topper for the sofa bed. The kitchen needs a scouring pad and cloths to wipe the table/surfaces down and, the bathroom, although it does have some hooks, would benefit from having a hook or 2 on the bathroom door for clothing etch. This is not the hosts fault but there doesn't seem to be any local shops to buy things. For this, it would be great to have some fresh milk, cooking oil, seasoning and butter, just to keep a person going. Front door seems to not lock as easy as expected. Managed to lock it after fiddling about with it each time needed. lol

Beautiful little apartment, could take upto 4 people, we were a group of 3 so was perfect for us with 1 double bed and 1 sofabed. The door key was easy to access in the wall. Kitchen with cooker, fridge & microwave oven, perfect for self catering. There were some teabags, milk, coffee & sugar tonstart you off for when you get there. The whole space was 'spotless' and well presented. Nice little bathroom with a shower. There were fresh towels for each of us, hand soap & shower gel. Onsight parking is right in front of the appartment which makes loading everything in & out of the car so easy. On a nice day, you can keep the door open and see the Beautiful greenery directly opposite the apartment. Overall, loved our stay would definitelycme again 😃 Thankyou to the host, Robert, who made sure we had a few more teabags and coffee when we requested them. He helped us with any queries we had which made our stay all the more better, thank you! 🥰🥰🥰

Sofa bed which i slept on was not as comfortable as the actual double bed. It feels rather lumpy and bumpy with a thin mattress. Each tine we came in & out, we felt we were looking around for a good spot to put the doorway, a hook to hang the door key on would help a lot. It was easy to lock the front door but, a bit tricky at first so we had to make sure it was definitely locked whenever we left the appartment. Bathroom taps would br ideal if they were mixer taps, at times the water got slightly hotter than we are used to, no way of mixing cold water due to separate taps. It maybe an idea to keep an added mattress topper for the sofabed with the duvet to make to sofa bed more comfortable. In the evening, we did find it got cold and at night, we had to put the heater on but, as there is only 1 heater just near the sifabd, it was difficult to regulate the temperature in the bedroom and the other 2 in the bedroom felt the cold through the night. To help with this on our 2nd night of stay, I moved the heater more to the middle of the 2 room ro help the heat go in both areas but, it would be ideal if there were 2 heaters, especially in the winter months. (There are 2 cooling fans to for hotter days in the appartment which was good if it was needed) Although there were all the cooking facilities, it would have been great to have a bit of salt, pepper, oil, butter and a bit of fresh milk too rather than the little prepacked uht milks especially as there are no shops nearby. Having said all the above, we LOVED appartment and I'm hoping we can come again for a mini break again!

The design of the property, the facilities available, and the cleanliness.

The heater (described as "oil fired"!) seemed not to work, and the red switch labelled "cooker" didn't switch on the cooker, the unlabelled one did!

Just like home from home the location is ideal and very quiet.The property had everything you would need for a very comfortable stay

The space was a great size for the pair of us and had everything we needed. Bright rooms that clearly had thought. Floors were lovely

The mattress is on the hard and lumpy side of the spectrum - there was a lump running down the centre so we couldn't really have a comfortable cuddle in the morning!

I love the set out and how warming it felt. Me and my husband and son had a beautiful stay.

Clean and modern. Very comfy. Close to amenities. Good communication with the owner

The unit is clean, with attention to detail on items needed for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Décor overall is tranquil, and to a high standard, hence making a small space very pleasant and functional. the unit is located in a quiet cul-de-sac. Ease of access to key places of interests and supermarkets is a plus. It was just right for us during our mini break.
