The location was great

The property was not clean. We had to clean the kitchen, dishes and utensils in order to use anything. The bathroom showers had lots of mold and had to be cleaned. The host was apologetic but did nothing to rectify the situation.

El apartamento muy lindo, con todas las comodidades y extremadamente limpio. Sofia, la dueña amable y siempre atenta a todo. La ubicación insuperable, cerca de todo y en un barrio muy tranquilo. Muy recomendable.

Il Tulipano is a lovely ground floor apartment in a residential setting. It was a really quick and easy walk to the main square yet a quiet place to stay. There is a lovely private terrace with chairs and table and also a swing seat to relax and enjoy the weather. There is apartment is a great size with lovely living area, big hall and two great sized bedrooms with one en suite and another main bathroom. It was so comfortable and clean. The instructions from Sofia were first class in terms of arrival with videos and helpful tips and it was the same when we left. There were two of us staying but it’s great for four too. I would highly recommend

Excellent location, supermarkets very close, short walk to centre. Near bus and train stations. Spacious apartment. Lots of outdoor space. Very helpful and welcoming host. Would thoroughly recommend as a place to stay in Sorrento.

Really lovely ground floor apartment in a quiet residential street. Still, great location for the town. There are two decent supermarkets 2 minutes walk away, even one restaurant. If you stay up at the apartment level you're in the main town up above or go straight down the hill for a ten minute stroll straight to Tasso square. Only 15 mins walk to train station too! We loved the sixth floor at the Plaza hotel sky lounge too! It's on the way to the main Tasso square. Apartment has everything you need Including air conditioning and a large sunny terrace. Very modern and clean and Sofia is really easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. As regards the front door, just give it a little pull once you have turned the key the whole way. Easy. Just be careful with taxis as they are very expensive. Ask the price before you get in. I recommend Lino Tour Car Service. We used them from Naples airport and return. The taxi driver found the apartment easily giving him the address and Sofia gives a helpful video to find the exact door. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in busy, sunny Sorrento.

Taxis are very expensive. I guess they have huge overheads as they are large wheelchair taxis. Find out the price first. Good little shuttle bus from Marina Grande! A handy lift to Francesco beach and the port. Most restaurants will serve either drinks, snacks or main meals or all. Just apart from one grumpy waiter who wouldn't tolerate us only wanting desserts and hot drinks! 🤭 we left.

With two bathrooms and large sitting area, this apartment is ideal for families. Definitely walkable with light luggage - just a few stairs to go up and down from/to the train station - but a little harder if you have heavy luggage and senior company on a raining day. As a reference, the taxi charged us 20.4 euros from Surrento station to the apartment, but it was nothing to blame on the apartment itself. The real impairment was the unexpected hot water breakdown. It was the first day of our stay and the very first day of the lunar new year, when it ran out of hot water all of sudden halfway through my shower. After hours texting on Whatsapp, trials and errors, checking insides and outsides (while “wearing” unwashed shampoo and body gel), it ended up with an icy rinsing on a frosty winter night. Sofia the hostess was welcoming, the room spacious, equipped with complimentary food pack, fridge, coffee machine and everything... except for that miserable night which took its tiny part in the rating. However, Sofia had it fixed the following day when we were out on our tours around. As the saying goes, all's well that ends well. We were satisfied with our stay there in general.

It would have been 10 out of 10 had the hot water supply functioned properly. But the problem was fixed the next day anyway.

The owner's personality and kindness most

We stayed here for a week in early October and Sofia the host was extremely friendly. She was always available on whatsapp if we needed any information. When we arrived at Naples airport Sofia provided us with information regarding how to access the apartment she also provided a video showing the path to the apartment from the road so this made it really easy to find it. When we entered the flat the host had left a welcome package which was much appreciated. The apartment itself was clean with fully functioning air conditioning and plenty of hot water. It is located in a residential area and was secure with electric shutters on the windows and 2 heavy duty doors to gain access. The location is about 10 minutes walk from both the railway station and the main square. There are two supermarkets within 2 minutes walk as well as pizza shops/restaurants and a cake/ice cream shop in close proximity. I would definitely recommend this apartment for a holiday.

The flat is situated near the door to the multi-storey building, so there was occasional noise as people entered or exited the building, but in general, it was quiet.
