Baan Orapin

Baan Oration is not just a place to stay; it is part of the Chiang Mai experience with its own sense of history and Northern Thai style. It's an oasis of calm after a busy day sight seeing. The location is excellent.

All of the staff at Baan Orapin were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made a big difference for my husband and I. Unrelated to the hotel, I got sick during my time in Chiang Mai, and the staff were very accommodating and helpful in telling us where to get to pharmacies and offering me some mild food to take up to the room. We also had an issue with our flight back to Bangkok getting cancelled, and the hotel again helped us with navigating the customer service for the airline. The hotel grounds are very well kept and attractive, the room was comfortable and well-appointed, and the breakfast was tasty.

The location is a little bit outside of the old city. We underestimated a bit how much walking we'd end up doing, but the riverside location is lovely so we didn't mind.

We loved our stay at Baan Orapin. It’s a beautiful property, the swimming pool was lovely and our room was also really nice.
